Your client uses Worksuite to manage your onboarding, work and payments. To join, you register once, from the invitation or sign-up link your client gives you. This article covers the problems people hit most often while registering, including a missing 4-digit verification code, so you can finish signing up and start onboarding.

TABLE OF CONTENTS

How you register

How you register depends on how your client invited you:

  • Your client invited you by email. Open the invitation email, click the link, fill out the registration form and click Accept invitation. You don't need a verification code.
  • You signed up with a link your client shared, or by applying to an opportunity. After you submit the form, Worksuite shows a Verify your email screen and sends a 4-digit code to the email address you entered. Some sign-up links skip this step and log you in straight away.

You can't log in or reset a password until you've registered. If you can't find your invitation, or the link says Link is not valid, ask your client to send you a new invitation.

The page only lets you sign in

Some invitation pages show more than one way in, such as an Already registered? link to Log in first, a company sign-in, or Google. Those options are for people who already have an account.

If you're new, use the registration form on the same page. Enter your details and create a password in the password field. You don't need an existing password: what you type there becomes your password.

If the page you reached has no registration form at all, you're probably on the login page. Go back to your invitation email or sign-up link and open it from there.

You didn't get the 4-digit code

The Verify your email screen asks for an Activation code. To find it:

  1. Check your spam, junk, promotions and updates folders.
  2. Search your mailbox for "Worksuite" or for your client's company name. Some clients send Worksuite emails under their own name and address.
  3. Enter the 4 digits in Activation code, exactly as they appear in the email.
  4. Click Verify.

You'll move on to the next step of your onboarding. The code doesn't expire, so you can enter it whenever the email arrives.

The Verify your email screen doesn't have a button to send a new code. If the email still hasn't arrived after a few minutes, see I'm Not Receiving Emails from Worksuite, then contact Worksuite Support. Support can send you a new code. If they do, only the newest code works, so use the code from the most recent email.

The code isn't accepted

If you see This code is not correct., check that you typed the 4 digits from the newest email, with no spaces.

Important: After five incorrect codes, your registration is cancelled for security. If that happens, start again from your sign-up link, and you'll get a new code.

You're on a different device or your registration was interrupted

The code is linked to your email address, not to your browser. If you closed the page or switched devices, open the verification email and click the button in it. That confirms your email from any device.

If you already verified your email, your account is set up. Don't register again. Go to your client's Worksuite login page and log in with your email and password, or request a login link. You can carry on with onboarding where you left off.

You typed the wrong email address

If you made a typo when you registered (for example, .con instead of .com), the code went to an address you can't reach. Register again from the same link with the correct address. If that doesn't work, contact Worksuite Support with both the wrong address and the correct one.

Your name or email address isn't accepted

Some workspaces check names and email addresses for blocked words, and now and then reject one by mistake. Try registering with a different email address. If you need to use that address, contact Worksuite Support.

You see "Too many sign-up attempts"

The message Too many sign-up attempts. Please try again later. means the form was submitted many times in a row. Wait a while, then try again from your invitation or sign-up link. Submit the form once and wait for the next screen.

You work through a company, not as an individual

Your client chooses whether to invite you as an individual or as a business. If you were invited as a business, the registration form asks for your company details.

If the form only asks for a first and last name but you work through a company:

  • Enter the name that should appear on your agreement.
  • Add your company name and tax details when you reach the tax step of onboarding.
  • If you need to be set up as a business, ask your client to change your account type. Once you're registered, you can reach them from Messages.

Identity verification can't use your camera

If your client requires identity verification, your browser and your device both need to allow camera access. For the steps and other verification problems, see How to Verify Your Identity with Veriff.

Any other sign-up error

  1. Try again in a private or incognito window.
  2. Try a different browser, such as Chrome.
  3. If the error comes back, take a full-page screenshot or a short screen recording that shows the error and the web address.

Still stuck?

Contact Worksuite Support with:

  • The email address you registered with (and the correct one, if it was mistyped)
  • The name of the client who invited you
  • A full-page screenshot or screen recording of what you see
