Some clients ask you to verify your identity before you start working with them. Worksuite uses Veriff, an identity verification service, to match your photo ID to a selfie. You do it from a stage in your Worksuite onboarding, and you don't need a separate link from anyone.

Not every client asks for identity verification. If your onboarding doesn't include an identity check, your client doesn't need one and there's nothing for you to do.

TABLE OF CONTENTS

What you need

  • A valid government-issued photo ID. Your client may ask for a specific type: Passport, ID Card, Residence Permit or Driver's License. The stage shows which one, or All document types if any of them is fine.
  • A phone or computer with a working camera.
  • A well-lit space, so your ID and face are clear in the photos.

Verify your identity

  1. Log in to Worksuite. On your dashboard, click Continue or Start stage to open your onboarding.
  2. Go to the identity verification stage. It shows the type of ID your client accepts and a Start verification button.
  3. Click Start verification. Veriff opens on the same page.
  4. Follow Veriff's steps to photograph your ID and take a selfie. Keep all four corners of your ID in the frame and avoid glare.
  5. When you finish, the stage shows Submitted. If it still shows Start verification, wait a moment and reload the page.
  6. Click Save changes (or Submit, if that's the button you see) to finish the stage.

Your part is done. Veriff finishes its check in the background, and your client sees the result.

Emails about this step take you to your onboarding in Worksuite, not straight to Veriff.

If your verification session expired

Each verification session lasts 7 days. If yours expired, go back to the identity verification stage and click Start verification. Worksuite starts a new session for you automatically. You don't need to ask anyone for a new link.

If you started but didn't finish, and your session hasn't expired, click Start verification again to continue the same session.

Troubleshooting

The camera isn't working

Your browser and your device both need to allow camera access.

  1. Allow camera access in your browser's site settings.
  2. Allow camera access for that browser in your phone or computer settings.
  3. Reload the page and click Start verification again.

If it still doesn't work, switch to Chrome or Safari, or try another device.

The verification won't load

If you see "We couldn't load the verification.", click Retry. If that doesn't help, check your internet connection, reload the page, or try Chrome or Safari on another device.

Veriff keeps asking for new photos

Veriff asks again when it can't read your ID or match it to your selfie. Before you try again:

  • Use a well-lit area with no shadows on your ID or face.
  • Keep all four corners of your ID visible in the frame.
  • Remove glasses or a hat for the selfie if Veriff asks you to.

If Veriff keeps asking for new photos after several tries, contact Worksuite Support.

I can't save the stage

The save button turns on once the stage shows Submitted, Approved or Declined. If the stage shows one of these and you still can't save, or there's no Start verification button and no status at all, contact Worksuite Support.

When you contact Support, include your full name, the email address you use for Worksuite, your client's name, and the status the stage shows. That helps us check your verification faster.
