Opportunities are roles your client posts in Worksuite for you to apply to. Your client decides who can see each one. This article explains why your list may be empty, what happens when you click Apply, and who to ask about your application.
Your client may use a different name for opportunities, such as job openings or roles. The menu names in this article may also look different in your account.TABLE OF CONTENTS

Where to find opportunities
- Marketplace → Job board lists the open opportunities your client has shared with you.
- Marketplace → My Job openings lists the opportunities you've been invited to or applied for, with your status on each one.
- Tasks & Projects lists work your client has already given you. It doesn't show open opportunities.
When your client invites you to an opportunity, you also get an email. Click the link in the email to open it.
I don't see any opportunities
An empty Job board doesn't mean something is wrong with your account. You see an opportunity only when your client does one of these:
- Invites you to it
- Shares it with a group you belong to
- Shares it with all of their talent
If your client hasn't done any of these right now, there's nothing for you to see yet. Coworkers may see different opportunities from you, because your client chooses who sees each one. Completed and cancelled opportunities don't appear on the Job board.
Worksuite doesn't post jobs or match you to work, and there's no bidding. There's also no setting that shows you more opportunities. To be considered for future work:
- Keep the skills on your profile up to date.
- Message your client to say you're available. See Sending a Message in Worksuite.
Clicking Apply takes me to my dashboard
When you're logged in and click Apply, Worksuite uses the profile you already have. You don't fill in a new sign-up form. One of two things happens:
- If the opportunity has application steps, you go to the first step. Complete each step to finish your application.
- If it doesn't, you go to your dashboard and see the message "Your job application has been submitted". Your application is on file.
Your client's account may show a different word than "job" in this message.
To check, go to Marketplace → My Job openings and find the opportunity. If you already applied, clicking Apply again doesn't create a second application.
If another person wants to apply with their own details, they need to log out of your account first, or open the link in a private browser window.
An opportunity link opens a blank page
An older link may stop working after an opportunity closes, or after your client changes who can see it. To find the opportunity:
- Open the link in the most recent invitation email from your client.
- If your client has a public careers page in Worksuite, browse and apply from there. Its web address ends in /portal/.
- If neither works, message your client and ask for a new link.
What your application status means
Your status on each opportunity is shown under Marketplace → My Job openings.
| Status | What it means |
|---|---|
| Pending input | There's a step for you to complete. Open the opportunity and finish it. |
| Submitted | Your client is reviewing what you sent. There's nothing for you to do right now. |
| Finished | You've completed every step of the application. |
| Not hired | Your client decided not to move forward with you for this opportunity. |
| Declined | You declined the invitation or withdrew your application. |
I applied. What happens next?
Your client reviews applications on their own schedule. Worksuite doesn't review applications and has no timeline for a decision. Any message you add to your application goes to your client's hiring team, not to Worksuite.
To follow up, click Messages in the left menu and send your client a message. Include the name of the opportunity and when you're available.
If this doesn't work
- For questions about an opportunity, your application, or when you'll get work, contact your client. Who to Contact: Your Client or Worksuite Support lists who handles what.
- If a page shows an error, or you can't log in, contact Worksuite Support. Send the link you used and a screenshot of what you see.
