Your client can pay you through Worksuite only once your bank details are saved and verified. This article shows where to add them, how to fill in the form, and how to fix the errors people see most often, so your next payment isn't held up.

Where to find your bank details
- Click the settings icon next to your profile picture, at the bottom left of any Worksuite page.
- Click Bank details.
If you don't see Bank details, your client doesn't collect bank details for your profile type. Message your client to ask how they pay you.
Your onboarding can show as complete even if you haven't added bank or tax details, because some clients don't ask for them during onboarding. You still need both to get paid. See Requirements to be "Payable" in Worksuite.
Add or update your bank details
- Go to Bank details. If you already saved details, click Edit.
- Select your Bank Account Country and Bank Account Currency. The rest of the form changes to match. If the form switches the currency to your country's default, check that it's the currency your account receives.
- Under Choose an option to enter bank details using, pick the option that matches the details your bank gave you, such as Local account details, Account number/SWIFT or IBAN.
- Fill in each field, using the hint under the field for your country's format. Enter your account number without hyphens or spaces, in both Account Number and Confirm Account Number.
- Under Your Address, enter the address of the account holder, as your bank has it. This is your own address, not your bank's.
- (Optional) Fill in Intermediary Bank Account (Optional) if your bank uses an intermediary bank for your currency.
- Click Save changes.
A status box appears at the top of the form. "Bank details are verified" in a blue box means you're ready to receive payments. Any other message shows in red. See What the status box means below.
If you're not sure how to fill in a field, click Ask our payment specialists at the bottom of the form.
Use the same name on your bank account and in Worksuite. If you're paid as an individual but the account is in a business name, or the other way round, your payment can be delayed.
You don't need to upload a bank statement or other proof unless your client or Worksuite asks for one.
Extra details some countries need
When your client pays you through Worksuite Global Pay, every bank account needs an Account Holder Type (Individual or Corporate) and an Account Type (Checking or Savings). If your account isn't a savings account, choose Checking.
Payments to some countries also need contact details or a tax ID in the bank details form, even if you entered them elsewhere in your profile:
| Bank account country | Also required |
|---|---|
| Brazil, Colombia, Costa Rica, Dominican Republic, Guatemala | Contact Name, Contact Phone Number, Contact Email and Tax ID |
| South Korea | Contact Name, Contact Phone Number and Contact Email |
| Argentina, Chile | Contact Name, Contact Phone Number and Tax ID |
| Algeria, Egypt, Ethiopia | Contact Name and Contact Phone Number |
| Paraguay | Contact Name and Tax ID |
| Azerbaijan, Honduras | Tax ID |
If any of these are missing, your Invoices page shows "There are new required fields for your bank details." Click Edit Bank Details and fill them in.
What the status box means
| Message | What it means | What to do |
|---|---|---|
| Bank details are verified | Your bank details are verified. | Nothing. You're ready to be paid. |
| Bank details are complete | Your details are saved. We may contact you to confirm them. | Watch your email for a message from Worksuite. |
| Bank details are incomplete | Your details are correct, but we need documents to confirm them. | Wait for Worksuite Support to contact you, and send what they ask for. |
| Bank details error | There's a problem with these bank details. | Click Edit, check every field and save again. If the message stays, contact Worksuite Support. |
| Bank details are empty | No bank details are saved yet. | Add your bank details. |
Your Invoices page can also show a message that stops payments, with a button to fix it:
- "Oops! Looks like payout method is missing." Click Edit Payout Method and add your details.
- "Oops! Looks like your tax info is missing or incomplete." Click Edit Tax Info and complete the form.
Use Wise or another online bank
Online banks such as Wise and Revolut use the same form as any other bank. Copy the details from your online bank's account details page for the currency you want to be paid in. Choose the Bank Account Country where that account is held, as shown on the same page.
For example, a Wise account in US dollars is held in the United States and uses an account number and an ACH routing number, not a SWIFT code.
Fix common errors
"For security reasons, we couldn't save these bank details."
This means the same bank account is already saved on another profile in your client's Worksuite account. Most often it's an older profile you created with a different email address.
- Check the account number for typos and save again.
- If you have another profile with this client, log in with that email address instead.
- If you can't use the other profile, contact Worksuite Support. Support can update or remove the older profile so you can save your details.
If two people share one bank account, such as a joint account, contact Worksuite Support. Support reviews whether the account can be used on both profiles.
"These two entries don't match - please re-check both."
Account Number and Confirm Account Number are different. Remove any hyphens or spaces from both fields and type them again.
"Invalid value"
The field doesn't match the format expected for your country. Check the hint under the field, and remove any hyphens or spaces.
Your SWIFT/BIC code and branch code don't match
You may see an error such as "Swift routing info for BranchCode and SwiftBicCode do not match". Our payment partner checks that your SWIFT/BIC code and branch code belong together, and this means they don't match in its records.
- Confirm both codes with your bank, on a bank statement or in your online banking.
- Re-enter them exactly as your bank gives them, and click Save changes.
If your bank confirms the codes are correct and the error stays:
- If your invoices move through Scheduled, Processing and In-Flight, your client pays you through Worksuite. Contact Worksuite Support and attach a bank statement that shows your account details.
- If your client pays you outside Worksuite, contact your client.
The bank details page won't load
Open Worksuite on a computer instead of a phone, or try a different browser.
You uploaded a bank verification document, but onboarding still shows incomplete
Your document is reviewed before your onboarding can finish. Your status stays incomplete during the review. For an update, contact your client.
How you're paid
When your client pays you through Worksuite Global Pay, the money goes to the bank account in your Bank details, or to another payout method you set up. Worksuite doesn't send paper checks. If your client pays you by check, they do it outside Worksuite, so ask them about it.
To follow a payment, go to Invoices → All Invoices and check the invoice's status. Scheduled means it's in an upcoming payrun. It then moves to Processing, then In-Flight, when the money is on its way to your bank. See Invoice Statuses: What Each One Means and What You Can Do for every status and typical timing.
Payslips and payment statements
If your client pays you through Worksuite, you can download these yourself:
- Payrun statements: go to Invoices → Payruns and click Download statement on the payrun. See Downloading Pay Run Statements.
- Payment reports: a spreadsheet of your invoices. See Downloading Payment Reports.
- Proof of payment: a PDF for a paid invoice. See How to Request a Proof of Payment (POP).
For a payslip, or any document from your client's own payroll, ask your client. If your client pays you outside Worksuite, your statements also come from them.
Still stuck?
- For bank details errors, or invoices that are Scheduled, Processing or In-Flight, contact Worksuite Support.
- For invoice approval, payslips, or payments made outside Worksuite, message your client from Messages.
When you contact Support, include a screenshot of the error with your full account number covered, and your client's name.
